Tweed Heads man charged over Currumbin torture

A TWEED Heads man has been charged over an alleged assault and torture, where a man's fingers were removed. 

Police alleged about 4pm on February 14, a 29-year-old New South Wales Man was forcible taken to a remote location in Currumbin.

There, his fingers were removed. 

Tweed Heads man remanded in custody over alleged torture

The Tweed man, 30, was charged with acts to cause grievous bodily harm, torture, deprivation of liberty, threats and stealing.

He will face Southport Magistrates Court on Saturday. 

He was the second man to be charged over the incident. 

A 26-year-old Burleigh heads man was arrested on February 18 in relation to the incident. 

He faced Southport Magistrates Court this week.
