Turkey bombing: Seven police killed, 23 injured in blast
SEVEN police officers have been killed and at least 23 people injured in a bomb attack targeting a Turkish police vehicle in the Kurdish-majority south-eastern city of Diyarbakir.
"We have regrettably lost seven members of the security forces... and we have 14 [police officers] injured," President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
"We cannot tolerate this anymore. European countries and other countries, I hope they can see the true face of terrorists in these attacks."
The attack took place a day before Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, whose government has waged a relentless campaign against Kurdish rebels since last summer, was to make a rare visit to the city.
A security source said a remotely-operated car bomb went off as a police vehicle drove past the city's main bus terminal.
