Tumbles of fun for gymnasts

GYMNASTICS: With tumbling and other tricks the North Coast Academy of Gymnastics will perform their end of year spectacular tomorrow.

Academy director Pam Behan said there would be cheerleading, recreational gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics and babies.

“We’re going around the world, with the kids picking a country,” she said.

“The chance to perform is open to everyone in the club, and the competitive and non-competitive kids come together.”

Behan said the performance would also feature a video presentation of those who made it to national competition, including two sport aerobic gymnasts who have been selected for the national team.

“It’s just a good fun get-together for families to appreciate what the kids have done all year,” she said.

“It’s very rewarding.”

The North Coast Academy of Gymnastics End of Year Spectacular will be held in Lismore tomorrow from 6pm with doors open from 5.30pm.

Tickets cost $8, or $30 for a family of four, and can be booked by calling 6622 3100.
