Truck and motorcycle in crash on Bruxner Hwy at Alphadale
A 43-year-old Lismore motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a colision with a truck at the intersection of Alphadale Road and the Bruxner Highway.
Inspector Matt Kehoe of Lismore police said the crash happened at about 9.55am when the westbound motorcyclist and a water tanker collided.
Police, paramedics, and rural fire service volunteers responded to the incident which caused traffic delays for motorists in both directions.
Insp Kehoe said the motocyclist suffered a badly fractured ankle and suspected internal injuries.
He was stabilised at the scene before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital.
The Ballina Crash Investigation unit is currently at the scene trying to piece together what happened.
Traffic is being directed around the crash site, alternating in both directions and motorists are advised to expect delays.
