Tregeagle swimming carnival fun

SWIMMING: The weather may have been a mixed bag but competitors at the Tregeagle District PSSA swimming carnival were sure of what they needed to do.

Tregeagle District comprises four schools – Albert Park Public, Rous Public, Tregeagle Public and Wyrallah Public.

Rous school captain Sarayja Smith, 10, said the carnival was fun.

“It was great,” she said.

“Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves – I know I did.

“I liked all of the events that I swam in; I even had my first attempt at butterfly and I finished fourth.

“It’s an interesting way to swim, not like the other styles. I think people swimming butterfly look like worms or dolphins – it’s funny.”
