Plan to help rural patients access health services welcomed
A COMMITMENT from the NSW government to increase support for travel to health services would be a welcome boost for patients in the bush relying on the assistance to access medical treatment, says the NSW Council of Social Service.
NCOSS CEO Tracy Howe said the health and wellbeing of people living outside metropolitan areas is tied to transport to the appropriate health care.
"We can have the best health care in the world but if patients can't access it, what's the point?
