Trailer smash causes 12km traffic on M1

TRAFFIC is at a standstill on the M1 northbound after a trailer jack-knived into a car.

The incident at the intersection of Reedy Creek Rd and Bermuda St is causing about 12 kms of traffic from the Reedy Creek on ramp to Palm Beach.

Emergency services are on scene and motorists are advised to expect delays.

A number of lanes remain closed.

It's not yet known if there are any injuries.
