Tragic death of Bond's wife

POLICE are expected to confirm the death of Alan Bond's wife, Diana Bliss later today.

The wife of the former bankrupt tycoon is reported to have died in the couple's luxury Perth beachside house yesterday.

A police spokeswoman said they had received a call about the death of a woman inside the mansion from St John Ambulance officers.

"About 11.30am our time today Western Australian Police were notified by St John Ambulance of a deceased woman located at Hawkstone Street, Cottesloe," a spokeswoman told The Sun-Herald.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the woman.
