Tractors a driving force behind Primex

JUSTIN Hunter, of South Lismore's KC Farm Equipment, is getting ready for his first Casino Primex.

But he isn't the only one looking forward to the largest agricultural event on the region's calendar.

"We've been organising for it since November last year," he said.

"We have staff and reps from Massey Ferguson coming along as well.

"This year's outlook is much more positive with the rain we've had. A lot of our customers are also going along."

Covering 675 square metres, the KC Farm Equipment stall at Primex will be presenting 'Massey on the Move' - a fully interactive road show featuring Massey Ferguson models from the 5400, 6400 and 7400 series tractors.

"We're taking over 15 tractors on our own trucks," Mr Hunter said. "Our sites are near the demonstration area where people can test drive products."

Tractors and machinery are at the heart of Primex, which will showcase equipment for industries from horticulture to cropping.

It has the largest display of tractors available in Australia, from the smallest horticultural machine to 4WD tractors for major broadacre farming.

"Primex connects serious sellers with serious buyers," marketing director Bruce Wright said. "Our exhibitors are ready to do business and there are some great deals available for those making the time to take advantage of them."

Mr Hunter said convenience was the biggest selling point of Primex, for both customers and sellers.

"It's a one-stop shop. You can spend a day at Primex and have a look at everything," he said.

"It's a good time to compare models and prices."

Primex is being held at Casino from June 12 to 14 and showcases a huge range of agricultural equipment and services to interest everyone from the man in the street to the large-scale farmer.
