Birthday blues for Scottish tourist who fell off tour bus
IT WASN'T an ideal birthday for a Scottish tourist who was airlifted off Fraser Island on Saturday morning after he fell off a tour bus, suffering a fracture to his femur and a suspected fractured hip.
A press release from RACQ CareFlight contained details of the incident, but didn't mention the man's age.
A CareFlight spokesman said the man fell while disembarking from the bus and he was flown from Happy Valley to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
