Touch footy playing catch-up after storms
LISMORE Touch Association has unveiled its catch up plans for the season's conclusion after the bad weather wreaked havoc with the recent schedule.
Officials have been hard at work compiling alternative plans for the competition, which has been badly hit in recent weeks by the deluges.
It is hoped semi-final action will be able to take place at Goonellabah's Hepburn Park on Monday.
With more rainfall and bad weather predicted over the weekend, however, two possible schedules have also been compiled to ensure the competition is completed.
The first scheme will see the semi-finals and finals played as 30-minute games on Monday, March 18.
The grand finals will then be held on Friday, March 22 as planned.
If the grounds are still unplayable on March 18, the semi-finals will be played on Friday, March 22.
Grand final action will then take place on Monday, March 25.
Despite the bad weather, organisers are confident of a very competitive finals series.
Matches are set down in eight divisions and some eye-catching action should be in store.
Referees who may not be playing are asked to assist with the finals.
