Top season for Bundjalarms

BUNDJALARMS capped another big season by taking out the minor and major premiership in the Lismore Netball Association Division 1 grand final.

They beat Daleys while the Southern Cross University Gold Rats won Division 2.

Bundjalarms won four grand finals and had plenty of talent in its top division with the likes of Rachel Herne and Tamara Hamshaw.

Meanwhile, Regulation Pants enjoyed a win in the Division 7 grand final in what was their first grand final appearance.

The team formed in 2005 and included Sue Glasby, Belinda Madden, Chris O'Brien, Sonia Osborne and Kathryn Ireland.

They lost every game in their first year and eventually added Lisa Miller, Karan Tucker, Christine Shanley, Lara Murray-Prior, Nicki Fairhall and Alex Ireland to the mix.

There was also plenty of individual awards at the end of the season.

Lani Rohwder won the Lynn Simms best and fairest award for the senior competition.

Alyssa Smith won the Aileen Miller best and fairest award in the intermediate division.

Lena Cohen won the under-12 best and fairest while Eva McRae and Charlotte Hassall shared the award in the under-11s.

Hayley Archibald, Tia Caldwell, Tywana Caldwell, Debbie Ingle and Lynne Sims also received recognition awards from coaches and umpires.
