Rascals release album

THE burrito-slingin' dub monsters have released their first full-length album, Asleep in the Machine.

The album hones in on Bootleg Rascal's hip-hop sounds and hooky song-crafting.

Working with producer LyMo in the studio, the Rascals have put together something tasty.

The most recent single is the title track off the album, Asleep in the Machine.

Staying true to the Rascal flavour, the album features some taco-licking tones that shoot from the hip. It's an album that will dip you into a Cancun boat party, then shake you into the Sunday morning recovery.

At the Great Northern Hotel, Byron Bay, this Saturday from 9pm. $10.

Big Gig

LINDSAY Webb is more than your average stand-up. He has an almost mindreader-like ability to pick faces in the audience and create a show purely on where they come from and what they do.

Webb (pictured) is joined by Ellen Briggs as support and after a two-months absence, Mandy Nolan is making her return as MC.

Big Gig Comedy at the Ballina RSL today at 8pm. Free show.
