Toddler dies after suspected drowning

A REPORT will be prepared for the Coroner after a suspected drowning at Korora on Saturday.

At about 3.25pm, Coffs Harbour police and emergency services were called to a home in Seaview Close after reports of a missing child.

Crews attended and assisted family members with the search for the child.

Police say a three-year-old boy was found in the backyard pool unconscious.

Police commenced CPR until the arrival of paramedics.  

The boy was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus but died a short time later.

A crime scene was established and inquiries are continuing.
