D-day for golfer Kane Webber

TODAY is a big day for former Lismore golfer Kane Webber.

The 29-year-old is attempting to regain his Asian Tour card in final qualifying in Thailand.

Webber played collegiate golf in the US before earning his Asian Tour card in 2006, winning the Macau Open. He finished 15th on the money list in 2008 before a horror 2009 when he failed to make a cut.

Final qualifying for the 2010 Asian Tour is at the Palm Hills and Springfield club courses in Hua Hin.

Other Australians attempting to qualify for the Tour starting on February 4 include Neven Basic, Peter Cooke, Adam Groom, Richard Moir, Scott Arnold, Rohan Blizard, Tim Stewart and Jason King.
