Three hazard reduction fires on Northern Rivers

IF you see smoke wafting across the Northern Rivers today there isn't a bushfire threat - National Parks are conducting three hazard reduction burns around the region.

National Parks Northern Rivers Regional Manager John Fisher said the three hazard reduction burns will be finished this afternoon.

"We will be conducting a burn up at Trough Creek in Koreelah National Park in the Tweed," he said.

"There is another small hazard reduction burn in Mebbin National Park near Murwillumbah.

"Another hazard reduction burn will be done in Jackybulbin National Park, which is probably the one that will impact most on your readers."
