Thieves hit Star Court Arcade

THIEVES targeted 10 businesses in the Lismore CBD overnight.

The break-ins occurred within the Star Court Arcade between 11pm and 3am.

Police said 10 businesses were either broken into or attempted to be broken into.

Thieves used screwdrivers, smashed windows and forced open doors.

The thieves made off with two laptops and a quantity of cash.

Police said the offenders spent a considerable amount of time in the arcade considering the number of businesses affected.

Police have reviewed council CCTV images and spoke to a number of witnesses.

“It would appear one of the culprits has cut themselves in the offence and we are following up forensic leads in relation to that,” Richmond LAC crime manager Detective Inspector Greg Moore said.
