*warning: potential spoilers lie ahead if you haven't finished season six, episode two*

As I avoided spoilers yesterday I kept seeing three words that filled me with dread, but "JSS" must be considered close to being one of the best episodes ever.

Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) had their time in the sun in last week's season six premiere.

We learned how teenager Enid (Katelyn Nacon) ended up at Alexandria, which revealed she watched her parents get eaten by walkers, and then had to adapt a "Just Survive Somehow" approach - capped by eating a tortoise.

The biggest moment was left the real debut of The Wolves.

It was brutal.

So brutal the scary, ass-kicking Carol returned. After killing Wolves member Aphid, she donned his clothes as a disguise and went full Rambo on the other attackers.

Morgan was called into action several times, but in a five-on-one situation he offered the five Wolves to leave. After a short struggle they took him up on the offer, but the decision to let them go could back to haunt the man.

The source of the horn during last week's conclusion was also revealed to be part of the attack.

A few more things:

- Denise was prone to panic attacks, but her efforts to save a fellow Alexandrian were noble. How she reacts to her new role

- Morgan has some explaining to do. Most of the Wolves knew who he was, and his offer to let his attackers go, while noble, is strange. This world doesn't give second chances, so while it may be the humane thing to do, that time has surely past.

- Aaron's reaction. He found his bag of photos on one of the Wolves members - the one he lost last season with images of Alexandria's defences - so is (at least) partly responsible for the attack.

- Where are the walkers? The superherd from last week started walking towards Alexandria, but they (so far) still have not arrived. Where are they?

- Jessie went full survival mode to kill a Wolves member who threatened her family.

- Carl stepped up but still has a far way to go before he emulates Rick.

- Run, Ronnie, run. He had quite a few moments where anything could happen: goodbyes with Enid, an argument with mum Jessie and seeing Jessie kill a Wolves member. It looks as if he's disillusioned with everything that has recently happened, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him run away to join the Wolves.
