Casino Bulls

THE Hotel Cecil Casino Bulls travelled to Lismore to take on competition favourites Lismore city in first grade and Presidents Cup.

Under 18 players Dylan Hancock, Brayden Kenny, Mitch Hyde and Travis Eggins made their run on debut against President cup competition leaders Lismore.

In a torrid affair the under 18 players acquitted themselves well, with Dylan Hancock getting 3 pts, Travis Eggins 2pts and 1pt went to Adrian Biviano.

In first grade the Lismore city team were too good for the Bulls First grade team, who were again depleted by injuries. Best for the Bulls was Blake Birmingham 3pts, Carl Tahatu 2pts and Kurt Adams 1pt and Players player.

Tries were scored by Dylan Hogan and Nathan Davy with Tom Farr kicking a conversion.

The Casino Rugby Club has great pleasure in announcing that Mick Russell and Peter Hickey have been re-appointed as the First grade coaching staff for the 2015 season.

In a very difficult re-building year Mick and Peter have been able to greatly improve the overall rugby standard and have created an infectious morale within the senior players.

They have nurtured young Bulls players into the senior grades and have used the knowledge and experience of the senior players to continue to be competitive in the Far North Coast Rugby competition.

Next week there is a general bye for all senior teams with home games back at Albert Park on Saturday, August 2.
