RAW Byron Bay ends year on a high with Axis Showcase event

THE final RAW Byron Bay event of the year will be held next week with its massive Axis Showcase.

The night will see 30 talented artists across nine different genres congregate to exhibit their work.

This will be the eighth showcase unleashed on the shire and it's safe to say RAW Byron Bay is quickly developing a reputation as one the most unique and fun events in the Northern Rivers.

Showcase director Abbie Gibson said she was proud of all the artists past and present and their ability to draw in large groups of like-minded people to appreciate their work.

"I'm so proud of the artists, both those that have showcased with us previously and the tremendous talents we have coming up in the Axis showcase," she said.

"It's overwhelming to see the support the community has for people's creations and I'm honoured to be able to help people see what talent there is out there."

The talented artists appearing will include photography from Tia Melody, Jakey Phillips, Heidi Flumm Photography and Connie Puntoriero; fashion from Caravan Creative, Satya James, Annukka, Luludu, Earthless, Fulton & Hobbs, Story of Seven and VMLCC; music from Bad Pony, Carmen Cane, Josh Armistead, Rodrigo Cassiano and Kakumei; and art from Carmel Debreuil, Comrades Incognito, Madzinga, Antonella Morelli, Verity Numan, Andrew McNeill and Slinah Bull.

RAW Byron Bay's Axis Showcase happens on Wednesday, October 22, at 7.30pm at the Beach Hotel, Byron Bay.

RAW events are 18+ only. Tickets are $16.50 pre-sale from http://www.rawartists.org or $20 at the door.
