Casino Lions U14s step up in match against Lismore Swans

THE Casino RSM Under-14s travelled to Lismore to take on the improving Lismore Swans.

Missing Sam Hemsley-Hackett who was a stand out player in last week's Brisbane rep game, coach Luke Wyatt was looking for other players to step up.

Sam Johnston was a star up forward, using his height to fly above the pack and finishing well in kicking four goals on debut.

Another newcomer Paddy O'Brien also had a great first game, helping Solomon Torrens, Conner Hannigan in the forward line.

Brayden Heath got the ball rolling with the first goal of the day and played well in the centre along with Matt Bradshaw, Beau Donnelly, Lachlan Parker, Tom Masters who all battled well.

Our defence welcomed back James "lefty" Wilson who along with Zach Green led the tough defence, getting plenty of help from Shaun Fitzpatrick, Chris Darragh, Katelyn Stevenson.

Riley Pattons' kicking out from defence was great and a couple of goal saving marks late in the game helped the Lions to a 10 point win.
