Ivy gets the big one
The Bluesfest Busking Competition was won this year by NSW Central Coast three-piece rock Ivy.
The band is formed by Kane Brown on vocals and guitar, Steve Pokrajac on bass and Benny Pokrajac on drums.
In their Unearthed profile, the band is explained as a very tight unit:
"Brothers Steve and Benny Pokrajac make up the rhythm section grooving in sync through some ungodly sibling connection. Kane Brown plays like a man possessed by screeching tones of raucous blues grooves while belting out unrelenting howls with ease," said their bio.
"Over the last five years, Ivy have been refining there sound, playing 100's of live shows mostly around their home town on the Central Coast of NSW.
"2015 saw Ivy step up playing main support for You Am I, and British India, multiple shows in Sydney, Newcastle and interstate".

As part of their prize, Ivy will be opening the Delta stage at Bluesfest this Monday at 12 noon.
