The Blue School

After a number of years absent from the events calendar in Kyogle, The Fairymount Festival made a welcomed return!
The three day programme included events for the young and young at heart in the Kyogle community but the highlight would have to be the Street Parade on Saturday afternoon.
About 70 students and teachers joined in the fun of the parade by being a part of the St Brigid’s Primary School float. With the theme’ The Blue School’, our local ‘nickname’, it was a sea of blue with students all dressed from head to toe in blue. We also had students dressed in uniforms from different school periods as well as teachers being represented through the ages, including our very own ‘nun’ and our very own ‘Fairymount Festival Queen’ – St Brigid’s is the workplace of a past Fairymount Festival Queen who loaned her sash to a much younger student who played the part very well!
We even played out our very own ‘Making Jesus Real Radio’ Festival edition as we wove our way down the main street of Kyogle!
The students had a great afternoon and were wonderful ambassadors for ‘The Blue School’.
