Teenager suffers burns from camp fire

A 15-year-old boy is in a stable condition at Lismore Base Hospital after suffering serious burns to his lower legs and hands.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was called to Tooloom, west of Tabulam, at 6.40pm last night after the teenager suffered burns while lighting a campfire.

The boy was treated on scene by local NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transferred to Lismore Base Hospital by the Westpac Helicopter.
