Teenager in hospital after car flips near Casino

A CASINO teenager who flipped and rolled a car on Summerland Way north of Casino was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment yesterday afternoon.

Richmond Local Area Command Inspector Susie Johnston said the 18-year-old female was travelling north along Summerland Way near Bundocks Rd at about 4.15pm when the incident occurred.

She said the Holden Cruze flipped and rolled several times before coming to rest in the opposite lane.

The teenage girl was in shock and suffered trauma to her right arm.

She was taken to the Lismore Base Hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating whether or not fatigue was an issue in the crash.

The Holden Cruise has since been towed from the scene.
