Teen reels in two metre bull shark well inland from ocean
A TWO metre bull shark was the last thing teenage William Smith expected to catch during a quiet fishing trip on the Wilsons River at Wyrallah.
William's mum Cassie Skillings said the shark was large enough to tow the tinny up the river.
"He was fishing in a small little tinny not much bigger than the shark and the shark actually towed the tinny up the river," she said.
"My partner was with him and they ended up landing this huge shark and it was amazing.
"They've never caught one that big there and it is fresh water there.
"We measure it and it was a two metre bull shark."
