Teen DJ working hard to make his music heard
WHILE many teenagers are still trying to figure out what they want to do, one humble Mackay teen is making waves in the music industry.
Chris Adams, or 'Notorious Chris' as he's known, has his own clothing line, Vevo channel and has just released his second album, Separate Yourself.
The 16-year-old works from his bedroom, which is decked out to enable him to produce his electronic/dance style music.
"I've been making music for the past two years,” he said. "I've always been interested in music and had a passion for it and always wanted to make my own music.”
Chris hasn't found it difficult hard to balance school work and music.
"I just do it whenever I have free time,” he said.
"I usually spend two to three weeks on a song.”
One of his songs, The Gateway, has also received more than 100,000 views on YouTube.
After school the self-taught artist said he hoped to pursue his music career full-time and may move to the Gold Coast.
"I'll move somewhere where it's easier to be recognised and DJ in clubs,” he said.
Artists he likes to listen to include Avicii, Marshmello and Martin Garrix.
His music is available on iTunes, Shazam and Spotify and you can find out more on his Facebook page or website.
