Teen critical after being beaten by gate crashers

A TEENAGER remains in a critical condition and another has suffered serious facial injuries after they were brutally attacked by gate crashers at two separate parties in Sydney at the weekend.

A crime scene has been set up at a north shore home where an 18-year-old male's skull was pierced with a pole during a fight with a group who had been refused entry to a birthday party.

Witnesses told police the group of attackers had tried to force their way into the home armed with an iron bar, just before midnight Friday.

The young victim was rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in an induced coma.

Less than 24 hours later, another 18-year-old male was hit in the head with a glass bottle when a group of teenagers were told they could not enter a party at Seven Hills in Sydney's west.

Charges have not been laid in either incident.Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
