Teen charged over break-in

POLICE have arrested and charged a 17-year-old boy following a break and enter at a Goonellabah bottle shop this morning.

It is alleged the teenager and another man went to Liquorland at Goonellabah around 1am and threw a brick through a glass panel at the front of the shop causing it to smash.

The boy was captured on CCTV entering the bottle shop where alcohol and cigarettes were stolen.

Police arrested the boy and he was taken to Lismore police station where he was charged with break, enter and steal.

He was refused bail to appear in Lismore Children's court later today.
