Sustainalbe food directory
WHICH businesses stock local produce, free-range eggs, fair trade products, certified organic produce, are not-for-profit and/or are plastic-bag free?
Not sure? Byron Shire Council has produced a new Sustainable Food Business Directory to encourage resi- dents and visitors to shop locally and buy sustainably.
The new guide will be launched at a Sustainable Business Forum on Friday.
Businesses featured in the guide come from throughout the Shire.
Council’s sustainability officer Graeme Williams said the Sustainable Food Business Directory lists local food-related businesses and community enterprises that are embracing the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Pick up a guide on the launch night and from Monday, August 15 from participating retail outlets or download it from Council’s web www.byron.nsw.gov.au
