EARLY risers around Lismore woke to a sea of fog this morning as the warmth of the day chased away the cool of the night.

McLeans Ridges resident and highly regarded storm chaser Michael Bath used his quadcopter to get above the mist and record this video of the fog lying over the region with the sun rising above it in the background.

Mr Bath says not long after the video was recorded the sun burned away the fog on the hills, leaving remnants only in the valleys.

This may well be the only fog we see this week. The Bureau of Meteorology says there is likely to be patchy fog near the border at the weekend, but there is no forecast for fog on Wednesday or Thursday.
