One dead following Summerland Way crash

UPDATE 11.10am: A MAN has died in a single-vehicle crash at Kyogle early this morning.

Just after 3am today, emergency services were called to Summerland Way, Kyogle, after reports a Hyundai Getz had left the road, and gone into a signpost.

The driver, a 36-year-old man, died at the scene.

Officers from Richmond Local Area Command established a crime scene, which was forensically examined.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the coroner.

 

FRIDAY 7.45am: THE Summerland Way is closed in both directions following a car crash between Andrew St and Willow Lane at Kyogle.

The crash reportedly occured just after 4am this morning.

Diversions are in place via Willow Lane and Boorabee St, however this diversion is not suitable for heavy vehicles.

Crash Investigation Unit, Emergency services, and local council are on scene with police redirecting traffic.
