Students’ talents set to shine at Schools Spectacular

STUDENTS from four local schools will be participating in the Schools Spectacular this weekend.

State member for Lismore, Thomas George, said the schools were Lismore Public School, Murwillumbah East Public School, Murwillumbah High School and Wollumbin High School

"For 32 years, since the first show testing the acoustics of the new Sydney Entertainment Centre, Schools Spectacular has become a much anticipated event on the school calendar," he said.

"The show thrills audiences with vibrant music and dance.

"It features 2000 dancers, a 1500-voice choir, an 80-piece symphony orchestra, fantastic rock, jazz, brass and marching bands and spellbinding soloists.

"Students and teachers work incredibly hard to make sure the Spectacular is a must see event and I'm sure our representatives will do an outstanding job.

"I wish them every success.

"This year they will really bring the house down as they have the honour of being one of the last ever shows in the arena."
