Stewart free to play in Origin I

MANLY and New South Wales back-rower Glenn Stewart is free to play in Origin one next Wednesday.

Stewart escaped being charged by the NRL match review commitee yesterday despite being penalised for a swinging arm that caught Broncos playmaker Corey Nortman flush on the chin in Friday night's match at Suncorp Stadium.

The only player charged from the weekend's matches, excluding last night's clash between Penrith and the Dragons, was Bulldogs front-rower Sam Kasiano.

He was hit with a grade one dangerous contact (shoulder) charge after a 44th minute incident in the match against the Titans that left Luke O'Dwyer seeng stars.

Kasiano can avoid a one-match suspension if he makes an early guilty plea.
