Station Hotel robbed at gunpoint

POLICE are hunting a man who held up The Station Hotel at gunpoint in South Lismore last night.

Richmond Local Area Command crime manager, Detective Inspector Greg Moore, said at about 8.30pm a man entered the premises armed with a handgun.

"He entered the hotel on Casino St, Lismore, and demanded money from the bar attendant," he said.

"He stole a small quantity of cash and fled the hotel on foot.

"No shots were fired in the incident and no people were hurt."

The man is described as Caucasian, 170cm tall, he wearing a white t-shirt, black pants and a black baseball cap and sunglasses.

Det Insp Moore said investigations into the hold-up were ongoing and asked any people with any information to call Lismore police on 6626 0599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
