Star halfback Cooper Cronk to join Sydney Roosters in 2018

THE Cooper Cronk saga has finally come to an end, with the star halfback expected to announce a two-year deal to join the Sydney Roosters.

Cronk is expected to make an announcement on his signing on Fox Sports later today.

The former Storm star had widely been tipped to join the Roosters after announcing earlier this year he would be leaving Melbourne to live in Sydney.

Coach Trent Robinson arrived at Roosters headquarters this morning ahead of a meeting with Mitchell Pearce, whose future is up in the air following Cronk’s signing.

Robinson told The Daily Telegraph on Sunday that he and the club desperately wanted Pearce to remain at Bondi.

Pearce, 28, still has another two years left on his Roosters contract.
