LISMORE Real Estate has a big prize package coming its way after winning the Lismore Turf Club's window display competition.

The Turf Club recently asked Lismore businesses to get behind Thursday's XXXX Gold Centenary Lismore Cup by adding colour and flavour to their window displays.

After the judging finished on Saturday, Lismore Real Estate was revealed as the winner at Saturday night's Lismore Cup Centenary Ball, held at the Lismore's Workers Club.

Lismore Real Estate will receive eight tickets for the winning circle marquee, valued at $900, $350 worth of Tooheys product, a Northern Star advertising package valued at $500 and a Prime TV advertising package valued at $2000.

Lismore Real Estate property manager Mark Harley said the agency entered the competition because all its employees were going to the races on Thursday.

“We all put in a lot of effort, we had one of our staff dressed up as a jockey riding a hay bail with a saddle on it,” he said.

“The display started in the window, but the fun continued inside our office as well.”

Mr Harley said people walking by stopped and had a laugh.

“It was so much fun for us and the customers, and the great prizes was another reason to celebrate,” he said.

Nick Harrison of the Lismore Turf Club was one of two judges who reviewed the 18 businesses involved.

“They had everything associated with the races on display, even the champagne,” Mr Harrison said.
