Stabbing victim undergoes surgery after facial slash

A STABBING victim has undergone surgery after being slashed in the face on the NSW Mid North Coast.

The 55-year-old was arguing with a 32-year-old outside a home at Kendal, near Port Macquarie, when he was allegedly stabbed in the face at the weekend.

He discharged himself from hospital on Monday.

The younger man was arrested and charged with wounding and armed with intent.

He was expected to front the Kempsey court on Monday afternoon.
