Bail granted for woman accused of stabbing man

THE 22-year-old Casino woman accused of stabbing a 22-year-old Woodenbong man in the face and arm on Saturday morning was granted bail yesterday to appear in court on October 8.

Susan Gordon's bail was granted on condition she attends Casino Police Station each day, does not contact the victim or go within 40km of Woodenbong.

Magistrate David Heilpern considered that Gordon would spend a substantial time in custody until the matter next returned to court if not granted bail.

He said she would not be a risk to the victim because of the distance between Casino and Woodenbong.

Gordon has a child aged 2 and no recorded convictions.
