Speedway to ‘Thunda’ this Saturday night

THE ROAR of monster truck "Outback Thunda" will echo around Lismore on Saturday night as the supercharged V8 hits the Lucas Oil Lismore Speedway.

Promoter David Lander said the almost four metre high Outback Thunda is powered by a modified 510 big block Chevrolet engine producing over 1500 horse power.

The monster truck is valued at more than $200,000, with the motor alone costing more than $100,000.

Outback Thunda will thrill the crowds jumping over and crushing cars with its two metre tall tyres.

For speedway regulars there will also be Speedcars, AMCA Nationals, Wingless Sprints, Litre Sprints, Fast 4{minute}s, Street Stocks, and Junior Sedans on the program.

Gates open at 3pm and the action starts at 6pm.

Admission is $30 for adults, $25 for pensioners, $20 for high school students and $8 for children under 12 or $75 for a family.
