Spectacular finish to gymnastic year

NORTH Coast Gymnastics (NCG) ended 2013 the only way it knows how; with a Gymnastics Spectacular.

NCG owner, Mahala Klotz said this was the centre's 12th Spectacular.

"The theme for tonight's performances is Take me to the Movies," she said.

"Each performance is to a song from a particular movie, so the students are costumed and themed toward that movie.

"The movies include Alice in Wonderland, Madagascar, Pokémon, even War of the Worlds. There are other well-known movies as well as some obscure ones.

"The gymnasts have worked on this for around five months in their individual year groups.

"Their ages range from 2&3-years-old in Kindy-gym, doing Toy Story right through to our international representatives."
