Northern Rivers Pac Hwy tunnel to be closed for night moves

JUST months after the tunnels on the Pacific Highway at St Helena opened for traffic, the southbound lanes are to be closed for four nights of maintenance.

Roads and Maritime Services has advised motorists the southbound tunnel will be closed for four nights from Monday, April 11 while work on the twin tunnel jet fans is carried out.

The southbound tunnel will be closed at night from Monday, April 11 to Thursday, April 14 between 6pm and 6am while work is carried out.

A traffic diversion for Pacific Highway traffic will be in place via the Ewingsdale interchange along Hinterland Way with traffic re-connecting with the highway at Bangalow.

Roads and Maritime Services has asked motorists for their patience while this important work is carried out.
