Social distancing a distant memory

Evidently, Australians have suddenly forgotten what 1½ metres looks like.

I am tiring of constantly having to do the wordless pantomime, over-acting of getting out of people’s way. Most look sheepish and move to a respectable distance.

Two weeks from now will be indicative of proper behavioural changes, and adherence to the restrictions or lack thereof. I am rather concerned about the laissez-faire, “She’ll be right,” ignorant attitude.

And yet, perhaps it will be dumb luck, a small population, inadequate public transportation infrastructure and patronage, and low density living that will save us.

Watch this space.
