Soccer depends grounds condition

GROUND inspections today will determine if two games in Football FNC premier league soccer go ahead tonight.

Undefeated competition leader Goonellabah will host Italo Stars at Weston Park and Ballina will take on Byron Bay at Saunders Park, if their grounds are fit for play.

With a full-strength squad Goonellabah will be hot favourites against a Stars side with only one win, while Ballina must beat joint second-placed Byron Bay to keep its semi-final hopes alive.

Both games are scheduled to kick off at 8pm.
