Smoke and fire on Molesworth Street

IF you witnessed firefighters rushing down the streets of Lismore this morning and a whole lot of smoke near Warina Walk, don't worry, it was a case of a bin on fire.

While it's not know how the wheelie bin, on Molesworth Street, came to be on fire, it is reported that firefighters made quick work in putting it out.

Witnesses said nearby shopkeepers attempted to put out the fire before the firefighters arrived, but it wasn't until the firefighters could remove the bin from it's metal casing that they could extinguish the flames.
