Slow shutter image fast wins hearts for Photo of the Day

SHAUN STAFF shared this awesome photo of Killen Falls near Tintenbar.

Photo buffs might be interested to know it was taken with a one-minute exposure and a slow shutter setting.

As you can see, the result was spectacular.

Shaun's photo picked up an impressive 37% of the vote in a field of 10 really strong images, ranging from a beautiful macro photo of a raindrop, taken by Karin Taylor, to a really lovely shot over Yamba taken by Diane Lymbury.

Photo of the Day is intended to showcase the beauty of the Northern Rivers and the talent of the region's photographers.

As well as appearing here and as part of our extended gallery, it is used as the cover image on our Facebook page and appears on Page 2 of today's edition of The Northern Star.
