Sleeping out for a worthy cause

TAKE the family out for a fun night sleeping with hundreds of others in the Lismore Square car park at The Northern Star's inaugural Giant Homeless Sleepout on Saturday, August 29.

All you'll need is your sleeping bag and a desire to have some fun and raise some money for a good cause.

The Northern Star's Homeless Campaign is trying to raise much-needed funds to get a homeless shelter for Lismore and keep it running.

The sleepout will be held at the Square's undercover car park with security patrols during the night and entertainment for young and old.

All money raised will be donated to the Lismore City Council Homeless Fund.

To register fill in the form in The Northern Star on Page 26 today. The event is an alcohol and drug-free zone.

The sleepout will run from 6.30pm on Saturday, August 29, to 7am on Sunday, August 30.

Every registration will go into the draw to win one of the many great giveaways on the night.

Musicians and a chess master are needed for the night.

If you can donate your time please phone Sue Short on 6620 0530.
