Slasher film, Charlie's Farm in cut and burn phase

Nambour filmmaker and former Gympie man Chris Sun, from SlaughterFX, and his team have their heads down to get through the editing process of the new horror film Charlie's Farm.
Filmed in the Gympie region and attracting the attention of slasher film fans worldwide, it will premiere at Nambour Civic Centre.
That will be followed by events in Sydney, Melbourne and Los Angeles and then a global release.
With the likes of Tara Reid, Kane Hodder and Bill Moseley in lead roles, Nambour could be perceived as an unusual place to hold the premiere, but Chris and his team would not have it any other way.
Producer Sean Gannon said the screening at Nambour on September 6 was all about giving back to a community that contributed to the film and supported the cast and crew.
Sunshine Coast actor Sam Coward, usually a regular on and behind the theatre stage, made his film debut in Charlie's Farm.
"I had to pinch myself every day during the filming. It was five weeks of pure fun," Mr Coward said.
"I lost track of time and days.
"It was a real eye-opener to see how slick and professional everything was."
