Sky's the limit for TV show inspired by Bradley Cooper film
JAKE McDorman has his co-star Bradley Cooper to thank for his leading role in the new TV series Limitless.
Inspired by the 2011 film starring Cooper, the drama follows McDorman's character Brian Finch as his life is changed by a chance encounter with the mind-altering drug NZT.
Cooper is an executive producer of the show and reprises his role as Eddie Morra, now a US Senator with ambitions for the Presidency.
"To see that Eddie Morra is not just where we left him but he's actually gone even further is exciting and a little scary," McDroman said.
The two actors met on the set of American Sniper, for which Cooper was nominated for an Oscar.
McDorman has previously starred in Manhattan Love Story, Shameless, Greek and The Craigslist Killer.
"He was so instrumental in me getting the part in the first place," he said.
"Knowing him and working with him in the past, it's kind of been great to bounce ideas off of him. And he's given me guidance on how he approached the drug and how he approached the character in Limitless to kind of set me up to, you know, kind of pick up where that movie left off."
Limitless premiers tonight at 8.30pm on Channel 10.
