"EVERYONE loves Christmas Carols!" Peter Lehner, the director of the Bridge Street Choir, pointed out with a smile.

That's why he, along with Lismore Soup Kitchen President Mieke Bell are inviting anyone and everyone to come down to the Winsome Hotel on Sunday, December 9, to enjoy their Carols By Candlelight event.

It's free entry (donations welcome) with the kitchens famous Lantern Parade Soup being sold, along with tea and coffee in a fundraising activity for them.

It's a family friendly, community-engaging event designed to spread the (non-denominational) Christmas cheer among all, said Ms Bell.

"It's about community, enjoying the night and the carols," she said.

She said it's perfect for anyone wanting to "enjoy the joys of Christmas."

Carols By Candlelight: 6-8pm Sunday 9th December, Winsome Hotel, Bridge Street Lismore.
